The visa extension applies to all types of visas including regular visas and e-visas that are expiring or due for expiry soon. Extensions will be granted by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) on a case-to-case basis for affected nationals.

The authorities are also granting Temporary Landing Permits (TLP) to foreign nationals arriving in India due to flight diversions caused by the regional conflict.
